What the extension does
Skip Ads for SBS On Demand runs only on https://www.sbs.com.au/ondemand/ pages. It detects when an advertisement break is playing in the video player and temporarily increases playback speed (muted) until normal content resumes. It does not modify, intercept, or block any network traffic.
Data we collect
None. The extension does not collect personally identifiable information, browsing history, the videos you watch, IP addresses, analytics, or any other user data.
Data stored on your device
The extension uses Chrome's local storage only to remember two things on your own computer: (1) whether the extension is switched on or off, and (2) a local count of how many ad breaks it has skipped. This information never leaves your device and is not shared with us or any third party.
Permissions
The storage permission is used solely for the on/off setting and the local counter described above. The extension only runs on SBS On Demand pages and requests no access to any other site.
Third parties
We do not sell, transfer, or share any data, because we do not collect any. The extension contains no third-party trackers, analytics, or advertising code.
